Privacy Policy

Max Dig — last updated 20 September 2026

Who this covers

Max Dig is operated by Richard Max. This policy covers the Max Dig website and MaxDig YouTube Uploader, an internal tool used by Max Dig to publish its own promotional videos to YouTube channels that Max Dig owns.

MaxDig YouTube Uploader has no public users and no sign-up. It is operated solely by Richard Max and acts only on Max Dig's own YouTube channels.

YouTube API Services

MaxDig YouTube Uploader uses the YouTube API Services to upload videos. By using it, its operator is agreeing to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service.

Information handled through the YouTube API Services is also subject to the Google Privacy Policy.

Authorisation scope requested

What is accessed and stored

The tool stores an OAuth 2.0 refresh token for each authorised channel. Tokens are held only on the operator's local machine, with file permissions restricting access to the operator's own account. They are never transmitted to any Max Dig server, never shared with third parties, and are not used for advertising, profiling or analytics.

No personal data belonging to viewers or any other person is accessed, collected, stored or processed. The tool sends video files and their titles, descriptions and tags to YouTube, and receives back the resulting video ID.

Revoking access

Authorisation can be revoked at any time from Google's security settings by removing "MaxDig YouTube Uploader". Revoking immediately and permanently invalidates the stored token.

Deleting stored data

Stored tokens are deleted by removing the local token files. No copies are retained elsewhere. On revocation, any remaining token is void and is deleted.
